The Inerrancy of Scripture

Inerrancy means that the Bible without error, it speaks truthfully in every statement. What a comforting reality that the word of God is true and never fails.

Glorifying God in Marriage to an Unbeliever

How can one glorify God in their body when they are married to an unbeliever? Doubtless many Corinthians found themselves after their conversion difficult to live peaceably with their unbelieving spouse. Is divorce an option? What about holiness and purity? Wouldn’t an unbelieving spouse profane or defile the home? This passage gives gospel power to a difficult situation.

The Sufficiency of Scripture

Is the Scripture enough? Do you live like it? What practically does the sufficiency of Scripture mean? This is a wonderful but often neglected truth of Scripture. May a reflection on this great doctrine fill our hearts with wonder and love for the words of God.

Glorifying God in Singleness

What does it mean to glorify God in singleness? What does it look like to live for Christ and pursue marriage? What are some common issues singles face? We look at this important passage that tells us that singleness is good but it does lose it’s advantages someone struggles with self control.

The Clarity of Scripture

Is Scripture able to stand as a final authority? Does it’s interpretation depend on the interpreter or is it able to be clear in its presentation of truth? We see from Scripture and Jesus’ example that Scripture is able to speak clearly on matters concerning salvation and Christian growth.

The Authority of Scripture

Scripture is the word of God, therefore to disbelieve or disobey the Scriptures is to disbelieve or disobey God himself. Not only that but Scripture is self-attesting, demonstrating itself to be God’s word. Ultimately, we recognize the voice of our Creator and Lord through the Scripture. These truths are explained from Scripture as well as handling common objections to these claims.

Glorifying God in Marriage

How do married couples flee sexual immorality and glorify God in their bodies? By giving their bodies to one another, rendering affection to each other. This is not just a good idea, this is a marital obligation.

The Necessity of Scripture

The centerpiece of Reformed theology, recovered at the reformation, is not election, predestination, or even justification by faith, rather it is the doctrine of Scripture. The first sermon in a series of five on the doctrine of Scripture, Pastor Tim demonstrates that scripture is necessary for knowing God’s will, maintaining spiritual life, certain knowledge, and knowing the way of salvation. Cherish it, thank God for it, reading, study it, memorize it, and proclaim it!

The Surpassing Worth of Knowing Christ

It’s time to rejoice in Christ and treasure the righteousness of God in the gospel. You will only find true joy as you count your own righteousness as loss and see the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ as the treasure that it really is. Have you used the axe of the gospel to severe the root of self-righteousness? True joy is found not in self-esteem but in esteeming the person and work of Christ!
