In this message, we unpack four biblical reasons for the resurrection: Whether you’re exploring Christianity or have walked with Jesus for years, this sermon will deepen your confidence in the risen Christ and stir fresh hope in his finished work. He is risen indeed!

The Essential Resurrection

In an age where skepticism abounds, this text reminds us of the surety of the resurrection. Christianity is not a philosophy or principles for living, it is God working in history to save a people through the physical death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. In this sermon we consider the essential nature of the resurrection, its factual basis in history, and finally its product of a living hope. We need this reminder of our living, conquering Christ! Four Evidences for the Resurrection

We consider the resurrection account in John 20 and four evidences that testify to Jesus’ physical resurrection. “These are written so that we may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:31). Passage: John 20:1-10

What does it look like to live and speak in a pluralistic culture where this is no absolute truth? How do we respond and tell the truth as the church of Christ? It is so important to answer these questions from the Scriptures so that we are being faithful to Jesus and to his truth.

The Historical Resurrection

Though many see the resurrection as something absurd to believe the facts tell a much different story. In this sermon we see that the gospel witnesses are contemporary with the events they report. We see their stories corroborated by many other sources. We see the reliable transmission of their testimony and we recognize their lives sealed their testimony with blood. Christianity is an historical religion based on real historical events. What are you going to do with Jesus?

You Know God

Why do all people find the sunset and sunrise beautiful? Why do all people marvel at the stars and planets? Why is music beautiful to our ears? Why do we find artwork pleasing to the eye? Why do we care about justice? Why do we have guilt? The Bible declares that these things demonstrate that we know God. Is that really the case?
