Will Those Who Are Saved Be Few?

In this sermon we consider a question asked of Jesus, “Will those who are saved be few?” Jesus’ answer probes deep into the heart to describe what one must do to be saved. He warns about those seeking entrance into the kingdom but are shut out and perish. Our Lord, like always, does not speak in abstraction, but makes truth very personal. Will those who are saved include you? Passage: Luke 13:22-30

Behold the Covenant

Isaiah 42:1-12 is an exposition of Jesus Christ, the servant of God. In this message we are directed to consider what it means for the Son of God to be given as a covenant for the people. This unpacks the heart of the gospel, the good news of Christianity, and directs us to take our sin to Jesus for rescue. This message is part two of three. Passage: Isaiah 42:5-7

The Victorious Christ and His Spoils

As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, this sermon considers the great purpose of Christ becoming a curse for us. Galatians 3:14 explains he died to redeem us from the curse “so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might com to the nations.” What we see here directs us to worship and adoration of the mighty Savior. Passage: Galatians 3:14

Christ Became a Curse for Us

In this sermon, Pastor Tim reminds us from Galatians 3:13 that Jesus died for an important purpose. The reviling, shame, and wrath he endured was so that the curse upon us might fall upon him and rescue us in reconciling us to God. Friday is so good because Christ won our salvation through his death. Passage: Galatians 3:10-13
