Pontius Pilate teaches us much about the position of authority under the supremacy of God. Those in government leadership are inescapably held to God’s moral standard. And when authorities are pushed to command or enforce things wholly unjust, exterior pressure is no excuse to perpetrate evil, by commission or omission.
