The God Who Loves

Everyone knows that God is loving right? That’s what we believe, but a loving God is a uniquely Christian truth rooted in the self-sacrifice of Christ on the cross. In this sermon, we look at the unique love of God and what we must do in response to the love of God.

The God Who Is Holy

What does it mean that God is holy? We see that holiness reveals our sinfulness but God also extends his circle of holiness to include us and bring us to himself.

The God Who Upholds (part 2)

Just how in control is God? How does he govern this universe? Does he allow secondary causes (laws of nature) run their course or is he more involved? What we see is that God unholds, governs, and sustains every single particle in his universe for his own glory. Not only does he govern every particle, he directs and upholds every single individual. This is our God!

The God Who Decrees

God’s decree is effective, eternal, not based on foreknowledge, and includes every single detail. The Scriptures are clear on these points yet raise in our minds serious questions? Does God really ordain all that comes to pass, including evil? Does God destine some people for hell? How can we be responsible? These are important questions to consider as we grow in our knowledge of God.

The God Who Creates

“For [God’s] invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made” (Romans 1:20). Certainly this statement from Scripture is true. We see God’s wisdom and power in his creatures, in nature and in our universe.
