Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream and Daniel’s God

Nebuchadnezzar dreams in 602BC about events in the future. Daniel, given grace by God to interpret those dreams demonstrates the power and wisdom of God. Here we see the sovereign God who is the author of history, who declares the end from the beginning, tells us ahead of time what he plans to do with powerful kingdoms. He also tells us about the coming kingdom of God manifest in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Faith in the Giving God

While certainly there is much written about Daniel that is there for us to emulate, but more than that, the book of Daniel is about God. Here we see that God is a giving God. He controls kingdom, grace, and wisdom and grants it to whom he wishes. Let us resolve to trust and live for this great God! How will you live knowing that you’ll stand before the king of the universe one day?

A Life of Thanksgiving

Luther said that gratitude is the most basic Christian attitude. Christians, of all people, should be thankful all the time. Here we have a reminder why. We look at the past, present, and future for reasons why we should be grateful in every and any circumstance.
