A Kingdom that Cannot Be Shaken

We’ve not come to Mount Sinai but Mount Zion. We are called to be part of this new covenant people of God. Be sure that you do not refuse him who is speaking. Here is Christ’s invitation to sinners to come and be rescued. To come and have life. See to it that you believe in him and cling to him until the end.

Three Deadly Traps

* Note: The are some problems with the audio recording during this sermon. As we strive for holiness there are a number of traps or dangers that must be avoided. There are dangers that keep people from obtaining the grace of God. May God grant us grace to overcome.

Strive for Holiness

Hebrews 12:14 calls us to strive for peace with everyone and to strive for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. There is a holiness that is necessary to see the Lord and we are called to strive for it. What does that look like? How do we remain Christ-centered and gospel-driven as we strive for this holiness? We consider these and other important questions surrounding this important verse.

Enduring Hostility

We live in a world where people can lose jobs, income, family and friends, simply because they are Christians following the Lord Jesus Christ. However, this isn’t new. The Christians the letter of Hebrews was written were also losing homes, lands, jobs, family, and were being shunned by their community. Response to the Resurrection

Thomas went from skeptic to martyr for the faith. His eye-witness evidence, along with the rest of the apostles gives us confidence in the reality of the resurrection. Faith is not believing something contrary to the evidence. In fact, to disbelieve in the resurrection is to believe contrary to all the evidence. Christ’s death and resurrection was a publicly witnessed historical event. This gives us great confidence to live our lives, entrusting them to Christ in all things.
