As the story of Ruth continues we reflect in this sermon on the plans of men and the providence of God. Naomi puts forth a risky plan to see Boaz and Ruth married. The book of Ruth is a story of God’s merciful provision to undeserving people. We learn in this chapter that God often pours out his blessing through human instruments. In this sermon we consider God’s providential care through human effort. This is an opportunity for us to see the greatness of our God and work diligently for him and for the good of others.
