The Gift of the Spirit

This is the third part of a sermon series on the Trinity. We examine 6 different passages in Jesus' words in John 14-16 to understand the nature and work of the Holy Spirit. We see that the Spirit is another Helper, presently indwelling; the truth Teacher, eternally proceeding; and the great Reprover, constantly testifying. The Holy Spirit is confused today and what we must understand that where the Spirit is present, Christ is exalted and the gospel is magnified. Tim Stephens is the senior pastor of Fairview Baptist Church. Tim grew up on a farm in Eastern Ontario and has graduated with a Computer Engineering degree from Queen’s University, a Masters of Divinity degree from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching at the Master’s Seminary. He is happily married to Raquel and they have eight children.
