Jesus’ Teaching on Divorce

What was Jesus' teaching on divorce? Regardless on where you fall on the issue, we must remember that Christian marriage is different. Disciples of Jesus Christ are called to a life of self-denial and this attitude must also be present in our marriages.



Mark

The gospel of Mark tells us of the person and work of Jesus Christ. Under the inspiration of the Spirit, Mark presents Jesus as the Son of God and the suffering Servant sent to save his people. Mark stresses the authority of Jesus, his great sacrifice, and what it means to be his disciple. This book was given to make and encourage disciples of Jesus, and this sermon series seeks to do the same by proclaiming Mark's message for today's generation.

Tim Stephens

Tim Stephens is the senior pastor of Fairview Baptist Church. Tim grew up on a farm in Eastern Ontario and has graduated with a Computer Engineering degree from Queen’s University, a Masters of Divinity degree from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching at the Master’s Seminary. He is happily married to Raquel and they have eight children.
