The Dignity of Work
Work was not caused by the fall, but it certainly was affected by it. We can slip into a mindset of idolatry or idleness. Who will set us free from these sins? Jesus Christ our Lord. In this passage we see the creation of work, man, and the garden of Eden. In all three we recognize Christ as the redeemer and long for the day of his new creation.
Sabbath Rest
Is the Sabbath binding on Christians today? This message argues that the Sabbath, like circumcision, dietary laws, the priesthood, and the sacrificial system, has been fulfilled in Christ and the new covenant. The rest of Genesis 2 points forward to the new covenant rest we have in Jesus Christ. Have you entered that rest?
Taking Dominion
This message examines the first command given in Scripture, to be fruitful and multiply, subdue the earth and take dominion over all living creatures. We examine what that means, how we’ve failed, and how Christ, in the new humanity, gives greater meaning to this task of taking dominion.
