Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is a great way to get involved at Fairview Baptist Church, God has uniquely equipped each of us in the church with specific skills and gifts. As Christians, we are tasked with using these gifts. Using your God-given skills as a volunteer is a fantastic way to serve the church while creating opportunities to get to know people in the church on a deeper level.

Take a look at the list below to see if God has placed it upon your heart to help in any of these areas:

Lawn Care

Help keep Fairview’s property in good shape. Lawn care is for those who are interested in doing yard work by raking leaves, picking up sticks, mowing grass, watering flowers, and making the church look presentable. This role will be on a rotation as part of a team and will vary in duration depending on the season.

Resource Attendant

This role will assist by overseeing the books and other resources in the Fairview library. The Resource Attendant will ensure resources are signed out and help people with their questions about the materials that are available. This role will be on a rotation and will take about half an hour after the service.

Tellers

Tellers provide an important function of handling church offerings and incoming finances for the church. They make sure to properly count and allocate funds that are designated to their appropriate categories leading to correct accounting for the church records. This role will be on a rotation with one other teller and will take about half an hour after the second service.

Ushers

Fairview is in need of more ushers. The responsibilities include handing out bulletins and sermon sheets, helping people find their seats, and assisting with communion. This role will be on a rotation and will assist for the majority of the service.

Welcome Team

This role will help the church better reach out to visitors by answering questions that people may have about the church and providing a welcoming face as the first point of connection. This role will be on a rotation and will take about half an hour before and after the service.
