Christmas Outreach

Please take a moment to look at your calendar and erase whatever you have written in/on them Dec 17 and get ready to be blessed, strengthened, challenged and greatly encouraged as we embark on another God glorifying Calgary outreach!

This year I would like to propose a challenge to you that has come through us hearing of a need, directly from the homeless while ministering to them a couple weeks ago. Several of those who have fallen on unfortunate circumstances directly asked us for blankets. That’s right, blankets. Even though they were grateful for the $5.00 Tim Cards, one of them said that they’d sooner have a blanket. So, could you give a blanket? Do you have any (clean used or new) blankets you cold spare? How about a toque or 3? Scarfs, mittens etc? How about a Tim card or 3?

I’d like to see many people with both a Tim Card and a blanket. Further to that, a toque, mittens and scarf to sustain them through the cold nights.

What would really be great is if each of these poor souls could be warm while they read a new bible, or at least a gospel of John, with new ears to hear and eyes to see because of God’s sovereign work of regeneration worked in them through the means of His great grace by our proclamation!

Please consider coming with us on that day (times and places to be determined).

It will once again be an opportunity to sing hymns, praise God and be a part of the Gospel being proclaimed and disseminated throughout the downtown core.

The more the merrier!

Please pray for this effort, dear brothers and sisters!
