In the days of the judges everyone did that which was right in their own eyes. Elimelech and Naomi were a couple of their time as they fled to Moab for help rather than to the Lord. However, their decision is used of God to demonstrate his faithfulness and meticulous providential care. Here we begin a beautiful story that demonstrates the goodness of God to this family, the nation of Israel, and the entire world.
