Kingdom Stewardship

Kingdom Stewardship

Stewarding God’s Grace

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8).

We know that our God is a gracious God who lavishes believers with every spiritual blessing in Christ. He also gives material blessings graciously so that we can steward them for His kingdom and glory. God has blessed us abundantly at Fairview Baptist Church, and we want to use our resources for His kingdom.

The Kingdom Stewardship Plan is purposed to focus the giving of time, service, encouragement, and resources for the advance of Christ’s kingdom. This kingdom advances on earth through the work of local churches, so we have set up visits to faithful local churches with the intention to bless them out of the abundance we have received; not just with finances, but encouragement, prayer, and service of any kind we can offer.

This Year’s Trips

There are three churches in Alberta that are currently supported by HeartCry Missionary Society. Their support helps church-planting pastors who are often bi-vocational to devote themselves to full-time ministry as the church grows to a point where it is self-sustaining. We hope to have 2-5 families join with one of our pastors to visit each church.

March 19th | Taber, AB | Sovereign Grace Baptist Church

A group led by Pastor Paul Yuck will be visiting Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Taber, AB. Sovereign Grace is a recent church plant from Grace Community Church in Lethbridge, led by Pastor Cliff Kriz. See his video testimony from Heartcry here. Contact Pastor Paul if you would like to join this trip to encourage our brothers and sisters in Taber.

April 12th | Edmonton, AB | Grace Fellowship Church

Pastor Tim Stephens will be leading a group to visit Grace Fellowship Church in Edmonton, AB. Grace Fellowship Church was planted in 2021 with Shayne Poirier as lead pastor. See his HeartCry profile here. Please contact Pastor Tim to join the group visiting Grace Fellowship.

Date TBA | Bluesky, AB | Redeeming Grace Bible Church

A group led by Pastor Josh Poffenroth will visit Redeeming Grace Bible Church in Bluesky (formerly Fairview), AB. Pastor Aaron Hale has been the main preaching pastor of the church since it was planted several years ago. See his HeartCry testimony here. Please contact Pastor Josh if you want to join and help plan the trip to Bluesky.

Every Member Can Help

Though some may not be able to join any of these trips, we can all help by praying for these churches, their pastors and members, and the cities and towns they are ministering in. As he travelled, preached, pastored, and organized good works, the Apostle Paul often urged the believers to pray, as in 2 Corinthians 1:11: “You also must help us by prayer, so that many will give thanks on our behalf for the blessing granted us through the prayers of many.” The elders will be giving updates at Sunday services so that we can all be in prayer for this kingdom work.

“Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:15)
