Draw Near, Hold Fast, Stir Up

Here are three commands God is calling you to do today. Do you know what it means to draw near to God? To hold fast to Christ? To stir up one another to love and good works?

In this text, we examine these three important commands. Understanding what they demand of us, and most importantly, understanding the great provision and grace we have in Jesus Christ to achieve what he demands.



Hebrews

In the book of Hebrews we are reminded again and again of the supremacy of Christ. It is a call to see Christ as the greatest treasure and to cling to him in faith and with all your might. May this book stir our hearts to love Christ more and more.

Tim Stephens is the senior pastor of Fairview Baptist Church. Tim grew up on a farm in Eastern Ontario and has graduated with a Computer Engineering degree from Queen’s University, a Masters of Divinity degree from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry in Expository Preaching at the Master’s Seminary.
